Label artist

To this day, following a past that we could describe as a very logical and common evolution in learning music, Laura Lippie works on everything accidental, through collaborative vs providential ascent.

Her work often refers to the poets of this world, to the narration of poetic states, to the melodic creation which accompanies them through various acoustic instruments, the multiple mixture of audio sources of all genres and kinetics, as well as its spontaneous recordings.

Keeping an always grunge net, due to her predominant taste for the “raw”, Art in all its forms; it will surely end up in a smokey garage in the “Universal DUB” universe. Peace-Out & Jah’ as she likes to say.

O

Where are you from ?

LL

I come from Aquila, a great constellation that produces beings with endless self devotion to improvement and love for higher states of freedom and sensorial riddim.

O

Earliest musical memory?

LL

Night times, often in the back of my parents’ car, hearing the sound of noise and music while sleeping peacefully.

Why and when did you start making music?

LL

There was a piano that no one played at home, so I spent a lot of time with it, talking to it, and listening to it too. Music has always been the center of all my young adult moments. And then, a little later in 2004, I started playing and creating, practicing, recording and playing live music to find and get ultimate freedom without any external control interfering, no longer being confronted with any kind of human submission, with its cruel and silly deontology.

O

How did you connect with Macadam Mambo ?

LL

Could we say that, sometimes, a blood brother is damn cool to hang out with, and also like a dream since birth? Well, that was the case for me. I was lucky enough to have this passionate brother all along the way. God bless our relationship, previous choices, souls and contracts. Music sealed our hearts with Mambo for eternity.

O

Some insight of the mix you recorded ?

LL

I feel I started assembling some tracks very fast, like the previous music sessions I did with my friends and music people this past year, very instinctively. And, I feel I kind of like what it brings on the table, this no calculation status , this orientated independent journey, as we naturally collect so much info/intel about our hearts concern (world misery, injustice, sadnesses etc.). So, I just picked some of those processes, put some stuff that lights up my vibratory activity, with memories or rhizomes that combine throughout, beliefs and taste for experimental surroundings and extreme gravity in simple cold flesh harmonies. The first track being from Iran, and the rest tells its narrative on its own.
